Metrus Broadens Work with its Fortune 100 Technology Customer
This is Metrus' sixth transaction with this customer in 15 months.

Metrus Energy has announced a new $7.8 million Efficiency Services Agreement (ESA) with its Fortune 100 technology customer. This latest deal encompasses 14 sites and spans 10 states. Metrus has now financed $62 million of projects under this nationwide efficiency-as-a-service program.
Citi and SmartWatt are partnering with Metrus on this project.
The project will reduce total electricity use for lighting in 14 sites by 75%, thereby eliminating 14,842 tons of annual CO2 emissions - the equivalent of taking 2,883 cars off the road.
“Our ongoing work with this customer demonstrates the flexibility and scalability of the Metrus ESA,” said Bob Hinkle, CEO, Metrus. “We look forward to helping them expand their sustainability reach by implementing LED lighting and other key efficiency upgrades over the coming months.”
This marks Metrus’ sixth transaction with this customer in the past 15 months. Metrus has now financed projects in 21 different states generating well over one billion of kWh savings for its customers.
