Metrus Announces $9.3 Million Deal with

Fortune 100 Customer

Multi-State Efficiency-as- a-Service Project is Underway

March 29, 2018

Metrus Energy has expanded the Efficiency
Service Agreement (ESA) program for its Fortune 100 Technology customer with a new $9.3 million efficiency project.

This marks phase three of a nationwide program that includes LED lighting as well as significant building management systems (BMS) upgrades. The project is
currently underway, taking place at 13 different sites across seven states. To date, Metrus has financed more than $36 million under this customer’s ESA program.

Metrus and Citi, the lending partner on the deal, will fund 100% of this ongoing efficiency-as- a-service transaction, with no capital outlay from the customer.
SmartWatt, a leading energy optimization company, provided design services and will construct and monitor the ongoing energy savings performance.

Phase three will reduce total electricity use for lighting at these 13 new customer sites by 76%, thereby eliminating 19,525 tons of annual CO 2  emissions. Over the life of this new transaction, this is equivalent to taking 104,500 cars off the road.
