With Students Away, Efficiency Projects
Pave the Way
July 31, 2017
The dog days of summer may be upon us, but Metrus is hard at work having recently announced its first deal with an educational institution, Jack Barrack Academy in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. The $1.1 million efficiency-as-service project will be installed later this summer at the Academy’s multi-building campus. The Academy’s students will benefit from campus back-to-school upgrades including HVAC, building automation, hot water controls and interior lighting retrofits. These upgrades will reduce the Academy’s energy use by 25 percent. This translates into approximately 13,000 tons of CO2 — the equivalent of taking 2,500 cars off the road over the life of the project. Even during summer, do the (energy efficiency) math!
